What issues or events are at the forefront of your mind for the November 3rd election? The COVID-19 pandemic? Racial Equity? The economy? How would the outcome of the election affect different issues? Do you have any questions about the process of voting? Join a live virtual panel to discuss all the questions and concerns that you have for the upcoming General Election on November 3, 2020. 

Panelists:

Congressman Joe Courtney

Courtney has represented Connecticut’s 2nd District, which includes Storrs, in Congress since he was elected in 2006. He is a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Education and Workforce Committee. The Congressman also got his law degree from the University of Connecticut. 

Dr. Thomas Hayes

Dr. Hayes is a professor at the University of Connecticut who specializes in American politics, elections, inequality, and representation. He has countless research publications, many on the subject of economic inequality. Dr. Hayes got a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside. 

Albert Morales

Morales is the Senior Political Director of Latino Decisions, the leader in Latino political opinion research. Morales also served as the Hispanic Engagement Director and Deputy Director of Community Engagement for the Democratic National Committee. 

Dr. Kelly Moore

Dr. Moore works as the American Civil Liberties Union of Connecticut (ACLU-CT) policy counsel. Dr. Moore has much experience examining and creating policy and is also a recognized community advocacy leader.
